Our Story
In 1901 our Matriarch Rodella Smallwood Swann, affectionately known as Grandma Della, was born.
Della with her creative business acumen, started making food for local soldiers, sold canned goods to the community, and made her own wine for the community. As one of the first black landowners in Charles County Maryland. Rodella made decisions that carved the way for generational wealth for her descendants.
Rodella's Great Great Granddaughter created Della Rose Holdings in honor of the generational land that Grandma Della fought for in Rison, Maryland. Armed with privilege, Rodella's matriarchal lineage desires to spread the wealth to create generational freedom for all of those in the community.
